Who is Mohammad Jorjandi?

Mohammad Jorjandi-Nejad Bami, born November 1, 1980, in Zahedan, is known as one of the first Iranian hackers. In the 2000s, he was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence for hacking the website of Azad University, insulting Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, and illegally accessing confidential emails in the state-run media. He spent some time in Evin Prison. Georgeandi, who introduced himself as a cybersecurity expert and the head of a security group called “Shabgard” (Night Watch), fled Iran in 2015 and sought asylum in the United States. He now resides in Alexandria, Virginia, where he launched the “WebAmooz” platform, claiming to expose cybercrimes and online fraud.
However, Jorjandi’s activities have always been controversial. He has been accused of exploiting this platform for extortion and blackmail, particularly targeting wealthy individuals, especially those involved in cryptocurrency and technology. Reports show that Jorjandi demands money from his victims by spreading fake news and baseless accusations. If they resist, he pressures them through media attacks and defamation. His social media accounts on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram have been repeatedly suspended due to his violations. In Iran, Jorjandi faces six legal cases on charges such as spreading false information and defamation, with even sentences like imprisonment and disciplinary flogging issued against him. However, he has not faced any legal complaints in the U.S.
Jorjandi has also appeared on Clubhouse and in interviews, such as with Voice of America (VOA), where he claims to care for the people of Iran, attempting to present a credible image of himself. Yet, behaviors like using foul language, insulting others, and confessing to extortion during Clubhouse sessions reveal his true character. Many believe he is an opportunist and professional fraudster, using any means to achieve his personal goals, even if it means destroying others in the process. What do you think about this person and his activities?
